John L. Steadman is an independent scholar of science fiction and fantasy literature, and author of Horror as Racism in H. P. Lovecraft: White Fragility in the Weird Tales (2024), Aliens, Robots & Virtual Reality Idols in the Science Fiction of H. P. Lovecraft, Isaac Asimov and William Gibson (2020) and H. P. Lovecraft & the Black Magickal Tradition (2015). He is a retired English Professor from Lansing Community College, USA.

Mr. Steadman holds a Master in Education from the American Military University; a Master of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin; a Master of Arts in English Languages & Literature from the University of Virginia and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Michigan State University.
